I was raised in Indiana's 8th Congressional District with the major city being where I lived in Evansville. My parents are Democrats and
that is what I grew up with. Kennedy was a Democrat. I think the first Republican I voted for had to have been Ronald Reagan. I think I voted for Bush 41. I did vote for GW against Al Gore. I still doubt the decision was wrong but the reercusions were immense. We had no idea that GW would do what he has.
I voted for Kerry.

This is the Grumman E-2C Hawkeye "D" model. Yes, it is newer than the "C" model. We are talking the small two engine thing that flies off carriers - not the Boeing E-3C AWACS. Well, for the record, neither one are "spy planes" - they are "airborne warning and control
systems" - AWACS. Spy planes are the famous U-2 and SR-71 "blackbird".

We The People do not send their over-paid and under-worked asses to Washington to simply vote "present" when called to vote on a controversial issue instead of making a decision. Well, deciding on issues is what the Senators and Congressmen are sent there to do. IF a
bill has some uncomfortable issues with it - like Indiana's Mike Pence found with a vote on declaring Islam a great religion or whatever. He voted. "Present", instead of making a stand.
Let my Senators or Congreemember vote, "present" - I will eat their
ass!
By the way, Congresswoman Julia Carson is lying in state at the rotunda in the Indiana State Capitol tomorrow. I didn't agree with all
of her votes - but, she was without a doubt, a rare jewell for the people of Indianapolis.
