This was not unexpected - however, to see how it all plays out will be interesting in light of the revelation that some of the defendants were tortured. And, obviously an appeal process would move this from the "kangaroo court" of GW's military tribunals into the Federal Courts where it should have been in the first place. That is where things for GW etal could get rather complicated. What is funny is that these military tribunals are set up under the Geneva Convention - that same document that GW violated by torturing the accussed......

I listened to part of a speech by Barak Obama - I can vote for him. Do I want a GW clone? McCain is talking about not surrendering in Iraq. The "surge" was to give the Iraqi government flex room to get together. That hasn't happened. So, under him it will be GW continued......
Sarge says, "No".

GW put thousands of earmarks in the budget he sent to Congress. This is the reborn fiscal zealot that states that he will issue executive order requiring earmarks to be approved by Congress. Fine, until you examine his budget request pork: 330 Million for pest control $800,000 for a fish hatchery 6.5 Million! That is to do a study on the fundamental aspects of asphalt.
This is while the Air Force needs more F-22's and C-17's.........

Can you imagine a candidate risking election by having George Walker Bush speak at a rally? Bush said that he would be glad to help John McCain - I hope he does.

America has the smallest defense inventory since 1946. The Air Force is crying for a replacement for the aging KC-135, needs more F-22s, and C-17s, and more people. The Navy is down to less than 300 naval combatants from 542 The Army has 10 active divisions instead of 17. The Guard and the Reserve are over-tasked in a job that they are not trained to do. We have 12 fighter wings instrad of 25. But, the largest defense budjet yet? Where in the world is the money going?
You can take one guess........ And we still can't get Osama Bin-Laden.
