IU is Indiana when it comes to nation-wide recognition for basketball. Oh, Butler, Purdue, Norte Dame, Valaparso, and Evansville occassionally produce excitement - But, IU basketball is Indiana.
Now, we are faced with a huge crisis with the basketball coach - Kevin Sampson.
This man is now being cited for more of the same recriting violations that he was fired for while at the University of Oklahoma. And, the Indiana University basketball program may be penalized huge.
Ok, part of this problem was with IU; they should not have hired Sampson in the first place. He had a record of violations at the University of Oklahoma prior to comming to Bloomington. He promised
to be good........
Well, he lied. And we have one of our great prospects for 2008 looking at another school. I say fire him and sue him for the damage to the program.
And, bring Bobby Knight back.......

GW went back to his fear mongering act to justify violating the law.
GOP Whip Roy Blunt stated that our intelleigence gathering capability is compromised. Not so! There are three different ways that we can monitor terrrist communications - legally. So, this crap from the President about safety from terrorism is bullshit. And, by the way, what have you done to kill of capture Osama Bin-Laden?
Executive Order 12333 authorozes the surveillance of any known or
suspected terrorist without a warrant or probable cause.
The Protect America Act permits collecting data on any foreign target in the USA abd did NOT expire today as the President said; surveillance may continue for a year or until August, 2008.
Then, of course is the proper way to do things in accordance with Federal Law with the FISA Court. Normally, approval for a wire-tap takes three days but tou can start surveillance imnmediately while
waiting on approval and even ask for emergency authorization which is
normally granted - immediately.
The issue at hand was immunity for the telecommunications companies for assisting the government in the illegal wire-taps. Surely to God
someone had to ask for some sort of legal authorization to bug this man's house......
This isn't over and it may get ugly for the President and the GOP.
That is why he is off in Africa.

The Bush Administration has asked the Supreme Court to limit the judges' authority at Guantamano Bay to review evidence against detainees. The White House states that a decision authorizing such would threaten national security.
As it is, detainees at Guantamano Bay are not allowed to have lawyers
present at hearings and the military decides what evidence can be presented and are not required to turn over evidence that the defendent might not be guilty.
This IS My Country doing this? This shames America.
