This is the legislation that George Walker Bush and his supporters are
using a fear campaign to pressure the House into passing a upgrade that will give telcoms retroactive immunity. "No, renewal of the PAA
is ""dangerous"" for the security of this country. That is a hell of a lot milder that saying that the House was putting America is unneeded risk of a terrorist attack.
Harry Reid inrooduced a bill today to extend the PAA thirty days. Even, the Director of National Security, Mike McConnel, stated that
such an extension would be valuable. President Bush vows to veto any
extension. He demands immunity.
Well, the FISA law seems adequate and the lawsuits against the tel-coms will just have to proceed.......

I agree with Barack Obama - there wasn't any al-Quada in Iraq until we
invaded. McCain wants to dismiss all of the past and focus not on the
failures but what to do next - that way he can characterize the Democratic pull-out position as unpatriotic.
Iraq has been a cluster-fuck opertion before Day One. The lies - the
manning, the lack of knowledge of the religious factions that might come into play post-Saddam - no planning.....
And, John McCain was GW's biggest drum beater.

So, what happened is relevant - We don't want to put someone in the White House who might well make the same mistakes again....

Gas just topped $103 a barrel in Singapore - that will hit our wallets even harder - Yet, a prediction of raising gas prices approaching four dollars a gallon was news to the President. Look, it is easy for me to believe that the man is stupid - but, THAT stupid?

George W. Bish aired a radio address attacking the Congress over Tel-Com Amnesty when he knew that what he was stating was false. Bush alleges that without immunity from Congress for the unwarranted wire taps that the tel-coms would be increasingly unwilling to cooperate
in intellegence gathing thus putting America at risk of a terrorist attack and laying the blame on the Democrats.
However, prior to the Saturday radio address - the telecoms agreed
to cooperate with the government and the White House was aware of this fact.
Remember, he was told that the intel on the uranioum from Niger was bogus and kept it in his State of The Union address anyway. Ambassador
Joe Wilson called him a liar and that was the start of the Nixonian "rat fuck" job done on the amabassador's wife - CIA covert agent Valarie Plame.
America needs a hot soapy shower after eight years of the scum that we
have had to abide with.
