I doubt that it is possibile after the battle between Hillary and Barack Obama. Hillary Clinton does not have the votes to beat Barack
Obama and in spite of pleas from noted Democrats she is stubbornly
remaining in the race. To his credit, Obama stated that he welcomes
her staying in the race.
However, If Barack Obama is the nominee - Why would he opt to have
Hillary as his VP? I would want someone I trust. However, the DNC may
twist Obama's arm.
A Obama-Clinton ticket could be dynamite.

influence.
The JAG isn't what you have seen on television - these people are military lawyers who refuse to knuckle under to political pressure

The torture thing is likely to blow up in GW's face before the election.

GW was bragging in a speech Thursday about the success of the surge as Iraq descended into a state of bloody chaos:
Areas of Baghdad are now under the control of Muquata al-Sadr's Medhi
militia. The Iraqi spokesman for the surge has been kidnapped and his
house burned down. Black smoke hangs over the capitol city and gunfire
is being heard. The protected "green zone" is taking rocket fire from
Sadr City. Medhi militiamen are ordering Iraqi police to abandon their
checkpoints and taking over. Thousands marched against Nouri al-Maliki
calling him another dictator.
GW bragged about how the Iraqi Army was stepping up but didn't mention
the US provided air support.

This is why we need to disengage. It was bad enough when the Shiite's were fighting the Sunni's - now, the Shiites are fighting themselves.
And, al-Sadr controls a third of the Iraqi Parliment!
