Most Americans agree that the Bush White House ordered is just merely sanctioned the kidnappings, secret prisons, and torture of human beings. Ok, some of these are bad people. However, many appear to be innocent. Here is the rub- Once you add in the torture factor - It throws a monkey wrench in the gears of the Bush prosecution machine. And, this latest Supreme Court decision may be just the start of more bad news. GW wants to keep all of this at Cuba with his politically influenced military judges and basically run a "kangaroo court" with a fast track to fast convictions and even faster executions. But, now all convvictions are almost guaranteed to make it into a US Federal Court and questiions about torture will certainly arise. This will get ugly. And, damn it, it needs to!

It appears that four western oil companies are getting "no bid" contracts to do petroleum exloration in Iraq. These are Exxon, Mobile, Total, and BP. Should we do off-shore drilling and open the Alaskan Wildlife Refuge to oil exploration? Yes. I am convinced that it can be done safely. However, a move away from fossil energy will require more than just campaign speeches. Coal is our most abundant source of energy. I am from Indiana - wind and ethanol. I favor nuclear power also. South America promises to be a huge source of energy as does Africa. Two areas that have sadly been ignored by this White House. We need to reach out to both Havana and Caracas and repair the damage done by George W. Bush. I say normalize relations with Cuba immediately and follow the EU by terminating the embargo. Cuba has oil......

And, they are just starting to shit on George Walker Bush. A US Federal Court just over-turned the the enemy combatant classification of a detainee at Guantanamo Bay and ordered the man released. This is the first case that has made it before a US Federal Judge and the United States Court of Appeals ruled in favor of Huzaifa Parhat, a Chinese Muslim, also known as Uighur, who has spent six years confined in Cuba without trial and ordered the man released. Parhat never fought against the United States and the government conceded that he never intended to do such. The man was linked to a Chinese separatist group the military said has ties to al-Qaida. So, if we knew this guy wasn't a "bad" actor - why the six years at GITMO? We are going to see more and more of these stories and someone has to answer for it.

Forty-one lucrative oil drilling contracts were set today and not a single one of them was a US company.
This will be rough on GW and McBush......
