This is great and proves regardless of what Bush and McCain state that patient diplomacy does work. And, I believe that the same approach can used with Pyongyang can be used with Tehran. But, North Korea didnn't present a threat to Israel......

Two options have been offered: the US Disciplinary Barracks at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas and the super-max Federal Prison in Colorado. Neither is a workable solution. The USDB at Ft Leavenworth is for American military prisoners an is unable to handle the number of prisoners that Gitmo might provide. And, that is not their mission. The US Federal Prison system is designed for those convicted of a federal crime. These people have not been convicted. And, a lot of this is about funding.
If we had to use someplace - the closed Naval Prison at Portsmoth, New Hampshire might be an option.

We are holding ground in Afghanistan - but, barely. More GI's are being killed there than in Iraq and US Commanders in that country are complaining that they lack resources because of Iraq. Afghanistan should have been our only and total focus after 9/11. Bush had another agenda. Admiral Mullen, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said, "We don't have enough forces to deal with the challenges there because of the troop commitment in Iraq", Bush even siphoned off troops from Afghanistan to send to the meat- grinder" in Iraq. We had the Taliban on the ropes, freedom was flourishing, and little girls were going to school. We were accomplishing something awesome. Now look at the mess.......
Lord please let January 20th be a bright sun-shiny day........

The Department of Justice (that is a laugh)Inspector General and the Office of Professional Responsibility determined that the DOJ "weeded out" applicants who had liberal or Democratic ties. This improper screening program peaked in 2006 when ideology disqualified at significant number of newly graduated lawyers and summer interns. Simply put, rookie attorneys with Republican roots got the jobs and their liberal counterparts were passed over. The same mindset in the White House and the DOJ resulted in the scandal over the fired US Attorneys and the eventual resignation of Attorney General Alberto Gonzales.
And the beat goes on...........

Ok, Barack Obama went back on his word and now will not accept public funding. Well, that limits the amount you can get and he is getting a lot! McCain called foul. Well, he didn't mention the money the RNC is getting from corporations and lobbyist. Obama has told the DNC not to take a dime from these characters.
John McCain calls Obama a "flip-flopper". Hey Johnnie! You have changed your position on a lot of issues. I don't believe these changes are politically motivated. No, I don't think John McCain remembers what his position was.
