When Khalid Shiekh Mohammed complained that he couldn't get paper and pens to file legal motions with the court; he was told to put his complaints in legal papers and to file them with the court. What? He then asked for documents to be translated in arabic so he could read them. He was told that the military tribunal had no requirement to do so. What? Then, there are the "secrecy" rules: the evidence is "classified" and the accused has no access to it. They are unable to challenge facts in open court because these matters are secret. They are provided lawyers with security clearances but these people cannot divulge anything that is classified to the accussed. Again, what?
These cases will eventually end up in a US Federal Court House and that is when we will see "the shit hit the fan". A death sentence will go to the US Fedral Court of Appeals and likely the Supreme Court. GW had to torture these people. That will throw a huge "monkey wrench" in the gears of justice. These people should have been treated as what they are - crimminals and tried in US Federal Court.

Sadly, Tony Snow has died. I enjoyed watching him as GW's Press Secretary. It is a shame that a journalist will agree to sacrifice their integrity for a President. Dana Perino, Tony's replacement is worse than he was - the woman lies with a straight face. Scott McClellan came out with his book and made a lot of money - but, all three of these charaters lied to America to cover for George Walker Bush. I have been to intelligence briefings - the news there is differnt from CNN. We get it without the "political spin". Well, rest in peace and my God bless you, Tony Snow......

I know that the far-left is pissed. Get over it! We needed this bill. Ok, having stated that - I do not like letting the Telcoms off the hook. But, that may have had to be done to get the bill done. Here is how I see it: AT&T was approached by the "government" and asked to assist them in fighting terrorism by doing some wire-taps. They were told that these are legal. Being good Americans - they agreed. It is noteworthy that only Qwest refused to do so without a warrant. The bad guys are not the Telcoms - it is GW etal. It was the White House that ordered these illegal "black bag" operations and that is whose ass Congress should go after......

Well, Phil Gramm's remarks about "mental recession" and "a nation of whiners" got an immediate rebuke from McCain! Well, McCain himself, stated that he doesn't know much about the economy. I don't know about you - But, that scares the crap out of me! And, Gramm is McCain's economic advisor? Lunch today - at McDonald's cost me $6.43 - Quarter-pounder, large fry, medium drink. I can do a Chinese Buffet for that! Gramm has said that, "Were the only nation in the world where poor people are fat". I imagine that he would let Americans starve. He opposses a minimum wage law. I guess as long as you are being paid something - then, it is slavery....
Mental recession? I imagine that $6.43 for lunch is all in my mind! And, the fifty dollar fill ups.
A major bank just failed. October could get very ugly. I mean, very, very, ugly..........

A US Federal Appeals Court refused to throw out a lawsuit by activtist seeking access to the vistors logs of the White House and the Naval Observatory - Home of the Vice President, and said that the White House should stop withholding these records. That obviously is all about convicted lobbyist - Jack Abramoff.
And, we have an Attorney General who lied when he said that he would be the lawyer for We The People instead of George Walker Bush! It will be a grand day on January 20th when these bastards are done.
